Over the period of NDP3 (2007/8 -2011/12) the Ministry will implement four programmes that are contributing to the following NDP3 Goals: Eradication of extreme poverty and hunger; reduced inequality and social welfare; productive and competitive human resources and institutions and gender equality. The aim is to achieve gender equality and women's empowerment; empowerment of communities and improve the well being of children in Namibia.
